ANNOUNCEMENT: Launch of the Texas Rural Health Advocacy Action Alliance Quarterly Meetings
- Attend KIickoff Meeting
- Location: Virtual
- Time: 1-2:30 PM CT
Following last month’s Texas Rural Health Association Conference -Action Alliances: Engaging Stakeholders in Workforce and Advocacy Initiatives Conference, hosted in partnership with Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (SHSU-COM), TRHA is excited to move from vision to action. We are officially launching the Texas Rural Health Advocacy Action Alliance, which will serve as the Association’s advocacy and collaborative arm.
As TRHA expands its statewide rural health advocacy efforts, the Action Alliance will help strengthen coordination, elevate rural voices, and build a shared policy agenda across Texas. Our December 16 kickoff meeting marks the first official convening of this network, with quarterly member meetings planned moving forward.
During this kickoff, TRHA will introduce the Alliance’s priorities, gather input from rural stakeholders across Texas, and begin shaping a shared 2026 rural health advocacy agenda—bringing together rural hospitals, clinics, students, advocates, community leaders, and partners to ensure rural voices remain central to everything we advocate for. This first meeting is open to all who want to learn more about the Action Alliance and TRHA’s growing statewide efforts.
