his year’s campaign — The Power of Partnership: Rural Voices, Shared Vision — is TRHA's month-long statewide advocacy campaign in support and in preparation for the nationwide National Rural Health Day celebration taking place on November 20, 2025, a coordinated effort led by the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) to celebrate and highlight rural health. This TRHA initiative is also in part of a nationwide effort with our strategic partner National Rural Health Association (NRHA) and NOSORH and other State Rural Health Associations and SORH's, to secure proclamations in all 50 states.
In Texas, TRHA — in partnership with the Texas State Office of Rural Health (SORH) and statewide collaborators — proudly leads this effort for the second consecutive year, with Governor Abbott’s proclamation designating November 20, 2025, as Texas Rural Health Day. Together, we celebrate the Power of Partnership and the growing network of rural champions who are shaping the future of healthcare across Texas and the nation and the #PowerOfRural.

Celebrate & Amplify
- Join us in recognizing Texas Rural Health Day on National Rural Health Day November 20. Share your stories, photos, and local celebrations using #PowerOfRural and #TexasRuralHealthDay to showcase your community’s leadership as part of this statewide movement. We will work to share and amplify your NRHD and TRHD efforts through our social media channels and feature below!

- Submit your organization’s highlight, data point, or community success to be featured in our statewide Rural Health in Action campaign.

Build Rural Health Capacity
- Use this campaign as a foundation to launch your own Texas Rural Health Day activities. Host a local recognition event, partner with a neighboring organization, or spotlight a Rural Health Champion or local hospital in your community.
- TRHA provides guidance and access to national tools — including the NOSORH Power of Rural Campaign Toolkit (powerofrural.org ) — to help you design and promote your own NRHD campaign.
